Meditation Hall
Amid the hustle and bustle of downtown Hollywood, this LA Loft needed to bring calm and peace to the client. Simultaneously, it needed to be unconventional and avant-garde enough to fit the client's entraining needs. Claire Wire meets these needs as she juxtaposes calm and carousing throughout; she integrates the hard with the soft, the old with the new, and simple with the bold. The Meditation Hall provides the client with a space for focus. An antique camel cart acts as home base for this, complete with custom floor pillows. This space is grounded by a pair of gilded 8'-0" angel wings. A pair of delicate tripod floor lamps provide gentle illumination for the space. Finally, all of this is flanked by substantial, polished nickel etageres which display the client's personal objects, books, art, and mementoes.

Items' Images
Shown here are the delicate lamps that flank the camel cart, juxtaposed by the substantial polished nickel etageres, the tufted bubble chair, and petrified wood stool.
Meditation Hall to Closet Transition
This transition point leads to a private sector in the residence --the closet. Here, we see a potential spot for relieving a jacket, resting a handbag, or simply taking a call away from the ado of the public sector. Here, white velvet is used as a visual cue indicating the private sectors of the loft, opposed to the public sectors (the same white velvet is used within the private bedroom). The soft aesthetic of the dove grey, tufted bubble chair is juxtaposed by the hard, slick, petrified wood drink stand.
Transition
The transition space between the Meditation Hall and the bedroom is created by draping the space from floor to ceiling with ceiling-mounted black out draperies. The side of the fabric shown in the public domain boasts lively teal, while the private bedroom is consumed by all white fabric. A mariner's relic "stands" guard of the private bedroom quarters.

Custom Throw Pillows
Mercury, chartreuse, teal, and red make up the color palette for this LA Loft. Metallics and interesting textures (tweeds, velvets, shag, fur, satin) provide depth to the clean, white box that is the interior of the loft.
